the content of this video is a portrait of an austrian resistance fighter franz leitner, imprisoned by the nazis in the ‚buchenwald concentration camp‘, franz leitner is more or less forgotten in my own country. on behalf of his leadership in block 8 of the concentration camp hundreds of childten and more than 70 jewish children could be rescued. franz leitner had been honored as „a rightous among the nations“ in yad vashem. right after this foreign honour the video has been produced. the premiere of the video took place in the graz synagogue. the second presentation in the jewish museum vienna.
