planetary sculpture
the physical part of the sculpture -a steel column with a videomonitor on its top– is moving upwards and downwards in the range of the height of the computer’s screen. the virtual part of the sculpture, the screenimage of the computer is also moving upwards and downwards matching exactly the physical speed of the column. i.e. the speed equals the rhythm of the tide,12 hours 25 minutes. the status of the movement of the screen is defined by the color proportion of the screen of blue and white. the static drawn line on the wall behind the monitor and the moving virtual horizon on the computerscreen remain stable forever (!) on the once given level.
